The Thomas Pangborn Lodge 88 of the Fraternal Order of Police was formed on in September 16, 1936 by members of the Hagerstown City Police Department. It is the oldest, continuous operating FOP Lodge in the State of Maryland, since being established 1936 and the eighty eighth Lodge chartered in the United States.
Lodge 88 members are comprised from active and retired Law Enforcement Officers, Troopers, Deputies, and Agents from the Hagerstown City Police Dept., Washington County Sheriff’s Office, State of Maryland, and Federal Law Enforcement Agencies in Washington County Maryland. Our facilities are on seven acres of land over looking the Conococheague Creek.
The Lodge supports many actives and group in our County though our donations to youth athletics teams within Washington County, Softball teams, Boy’s and Girl’s Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Education Scholarships, Washington County’s Children Village, as well as many of the nonprofit, charitable, Christian missionary organizations that help in our community.
